Less Troops, but More Cops?

Is it not ironic that liberals who once cheered President Clinton's claim to put 100,000 cops on the streets, now advocate severe cuts in national defense spending – and a severe reduction in troops who defend our freedom?

No, it is not ironic. It is simply another example of the cancer on logic and reason that has infected the American Liberal.

It's also interesting to note that the author of the linked piece makes at least part of his living from public (i.e. government subsidized) radio and television. If this is an example of the kind of deep thinking and rigorous analysis that goes on in the government subsidized media community is it any wonder that conservative talk radio blows them away?

The apologetic tone for 9/11 attacks is a slap in the face to all the innocents who died in the attacks and those in the military who have made so many sacrifices defending this country against the evil incarnate responsible for them.

The sick/scary thing is that there are politicians in positions of power and influence that would agree with this intellectually challanged recipient of government subsidy. This is a text book example of why this country cannot allow liberals to run things during this time of war.

Although I don't think he intended it, the title of the linked article ("The real threat to U.S. security") acutally is a pretty accurate assessment of the author's thinking.

According to the military newspaper Stars and Stripes, a new poll shows that 72 percent of U.S. troops serving in Iraq favor complete withdrawal from that country within a year.

Sorry Troop Supporter, but that poll and the pollster paid to run it, John Zogby have pretty much been discredited. Check out Mystery Pollster's post at

You could also check out the transcript of Hugh Hewitt's interview with John Zogby at www.radioblogger.com. Mr. Zogby admits that the individual who commissioned the poll is a prominent antiwar figure, obviously with deep pockets. Sounds like George Soros or Peter Lewis of Progressive Insurance.

The Zogby poll you cite is junk.
