Putting Democrats Into Power: A Risky Proposition

Ann Coulter's latest, "Jihad Is Fun! Vote Democrat!" is right on point and is must reading for anyone considering voting Democrat.

From the article linked above:
If Democrats win a slight majority in the House or Senate, Americans will get shrill, insane leadership of the nation in time of war.

Democrats can't not be crazy. They will instantly set to work enacting a national gay marriage law, impeachment hearings, slavery reparations and a series of new federal felonies for abortion clinic protesters. The only way to get Democrats to focus on terrorists would be to convince them that the terrorists are interfering with a woman's right to choose or that commercial jetliners exploding in midair are a threat to America's wetlands.
Let's hope we don't have to find out the hard way that Ms. Coulter's predictions turn out to be as close to reality as it is to parody.

Its funny, you guys are really quiet this morning; I told you that your party would lose. Want a tissue?
Goodnight Rae Anderson.....
Goodnight Lori Grivna…..
And good riddance
Want another prediction… New Brighton will pass certain budget items that are under question.

We've been quiet because we have to go to work to pay the even more confiscatory taxes that are coming.

More than a tissue will be needed to clean up the mess that the unfortunate election results will create. And if I do need a tissue I will buy my own instead of going to the government for it.

You're probably right about New Brighton passing certain budget items. Unfortunate, but predictable, given the three lefties that currently control the council.

Just remember that all three are up for re-election next year, and if any one gets replaced by someone sensible like Doffing and Bauman you libs may be looking for a tissue or two.

The current mess in New Brighton will take years to clean up even if the dark side is vanquished, but the first step is to stop further propagating it.

Taxes bring them on, at least Ill pay for them happily.
Oh yea, and about the dynamic so duo, no hidden agenda, yea right.
They won’t last long either, and this city has been operating just fine up until they showed up.

If you're that happy to pay unnecessarily high taxes you're more than welcome to really get your jollies and pay mine too.

What's this hidden agenda garbage? Doffing and Bauman are doing just what they promised to do in their campaigns and they are around for at least another three years. Keeping campaign promises--what a concept!

Yep, the city been run just dandy with your people at the controls. Double-digit property tax increases every year, a weed farm where our Lunds (an organization that only operates in upscale communities) used to be, people forced from their property to construct a huge weed farm on which multi-units that will eventually become Section 8 may eventually be built, the city buying a $170K property for $350K, and a stagnant business climate relative to neighboring communities.

We'll see next year if the citizens of NB want more of this "quality" leadership or opt for something better.

Game on.

If something better is going to come from those two members, it’s there departure. And about their agenda, it’s like watching Burt and Ernie one jumps and the other follows with out question. And you guys are pulling their strings, such puppets……And if taxes are such a problem for you, then get a smaller car or even a bike.

Curious that you reference Bert and Ernie, a politically correct mechanism to indocrinate our children with liberalism, subsidized with taxpayer dollars.

Doffing and Bauman happen to share a pro-business, small government philosophy. As far as anyone "pulling their strings" they are open to input from anyone, as are the other two council members and the mayor. Actually, it is a very positive thing that all of the council members are so approachable and open to discussion.

If you followed the budget talks so far you'd know that, while Doffing and Bauman are in agreement that spending should be cut, they are not in lockstep. Bauman has taken a much more aggressive posture toward where costs can be cut and how to do it. Doffing is looking for places to make cuts but is much more oriented toward compromise and finding common ground with the three libs. I'm fine with either approach if it succeeds.

I noticed you didn't address the thriving business climate...

As far as taxes are concerned, your statement reflects the thinking of a true collectivist. Obligate the governed to downgrade their standard of living in order that the master of government's every whim is satisfied. Not cool at all.

Better plan on getting to the Truth in Taxation hearing early if you want a seat because I have a feeling it's going to be another packed house.

1. Doffing and Bauman ran on the principle that New Brighton citizens should be able to keep what is rightfully theirs – from the property they own to the salary they earn. There is nothing hidden here.

2. Are you willing to acknowledge that there is an agenda behind the remaining trio? Or do you reserve this charge for those with whom you disagree?

3. Why is efficient use of taxpayers dollars and restraint from tax hikes so objectionable to you?

4. Why are you so eager for New Brighton to raise taxes? If you are truly willing to pay more, there is nothing stopping you from doing so today. Just send in a donation. The city will take it. Put your money where your keyboard is.

5. Could it be that there are perks in New Brighton that you are eager to see, but would rather force someone else to foot the bill? Exactly why do you feel entitled to a portion of my income?

6. Can you be more creative in your choice of pseudonym than "Anonymous"?
