NEWSFLASH: Fathers DO Matter

Good Morning America ran a story this morning about the unique benefits that only a father can offer to his children. They confirmed the common sense wisdom that moms and dads are different – and that children benefit most from both parents.
Indirectly, ABC News also made the case for protecting the traditional definition of marriage. If two moms cannot provide the benefits of a dad, how can one sentence an adoptive infant to life without a father? Likewise, how can one sentence a child to life without a mother?
Changing the definition of marriage may seem fair for the adults, but would not be in the best interest of children. Adoption judges would not be allowed to make the best interest of the children paramount. When no special circumstances exist, they would not be allowed to favor a heterosexual couple over a gay couple. Further, simply discussing the science behind Good Morning America's story in a school or a church would be considered "hate speech".

The Wall Street Journal also covered the same story here.
