Klobuchar Clueless?

I can't help it. Every time Senator Amy Klobuchar speaks, the nickname "No Clue Klobo" comes to mind.

I don't intend to be disrespectful for I suspect that the Star and Tribune's favorite daughter means well. But, she has no clue.

After promising to tax away middle income jobs, to cool the planet by limiting personal freedom, and to reward law-breaking immigrants with citizenship; Klobuchar now blames President Bush for not saving our bridges:

"We've spent $500 billion in Iraq and we have bridges falling down in this country, I see a connection between messed-up priorities."
What connection? There was never a choice between defending our freedom from terrorist threats or rebuilding these bridges. Once again, Klobuchar and fellow Democrats exploit the deaths of Americans for political benefit. In doing so, they demonstrate their own messed up priorities and their failure to learn from past mistakes.

Hindsight is often quite clear. Last week the numerous bridge inspections that highlighted potential problems with the 35W bridge did not warrant concern for disaster. Today, they are considered to be early warning signs.

Throughout the 1990's the numerous al Qaeda attacks on Americans did not warrant national security concerns despite the fact that each attack was increasingly more brazen. But, September 11, 2001 changed all that. We now know that these previous attacks were early warning signs that the Big One was yet to come.

Saddam Hussein gave use numerous warning signs as well. Before 9/11, these signs were considered to be annoyances by a pest. But, that pest had openly declared war on the United States; routinely fired upon U.S. aircraft patrolling the no-fly zone; used weapons of mass destruction on his own people; hosted terrorists training camps; and gave safe harbor to al Qaeda terrorists who fled Afghanistan.

Today we fight al Qaeda in Iraq. The warning signs are there. Al Qaeda wants Iraq to be its next base of operations. The country is rich with oil to fund al Qaeda's terror attacks and is surrounded by nations willing to protect al Qaeda's back.

Senator No Clue Klobo is ignoring these warning signs. She wants to pretend that these terrorists will go away if we simply ignore them. We tried this "see no terrorist, hear no terrorist, speak no terrorist" policy throughout the 1990's. It didn't work. It led to 9/11.

The collapse of the 35W bridge and 9/11 offer similar lessons – pay attention to early warning signs. Unfortunately, Senator Klobuchar is flagrantly ignoring the warning signs in Iraq while seeking to blame the President for falling bridges.

Funny thing. Among Democrats, hindsight is both clear and blinding at the same time. They blame the President for not anticipating the post-liberation terror attacks in Iraq. But, they fail to see their own shortcomings – no Democrat anticipated these terror attacks either. For that matter, no Democrat predicated the swift defeat of Saddam's regime.

Now Democrats blame the Administration for not anticipating the failure of our nation's bridges. When did Democrats anticipate bridge failures? It certainly wasn't before Wednesday.

I find it interesting how quickly Democrats blame others for that which they fail to do. There is no effort among these Democrats to learn from disasters. They only seek to benefit from from them.

By the way. Before you criticize Republicans for failing to anticipate a potential impending disaster, have you backed up your hard drive lately?

One minor correction in regard to the title of your post. Such a statement of the obvious should not be punctuated with a question mark.

Her inane comment that "bridges just don't fall down" was frighteningly childish. What an idiot - bridges fall down every day in this country, without warning.

Perhaps she's unfamiliar with the laws of Gravity.

"No Clue Klobo" is hard to say once, much less three times fast!
