Studying Won't Do Any Good For This Test...

A caller to the G. Gordon Liddy Radio Show today expressed his anger over a news story that reported drug abuse was common among welfare recipients. What really made him angry is that the story quoted a welfare official who claimed there wasn't a whole lot the government could be do about it.

The caller made the observation that he had to take and pass a drug test to get his job and was subjected to random drug tests as a condition of continued employment. He suggested that if drug testing was required for the people that earn the money, similar testing should be mandatory as a condition for someone who didn't earn it to receive it from the government.

Sounds like a good first step toward reforming our out-of-control welfare programs, although I can already hear liberals whining about infringing on the dignity of the poor welfare recipients.
