Global Warming - A Cold Blooded Killer

Robert Rines, now at age 85, is giving up his 37 year search for the infamous Loch Ness monster. Not only is he getting too old to continue, but he is afraid that if the elusive creature did exist that it may have succumbed to global warming.

As reported in The Daily Record.co.uk:
Despite having hundreds of sonar contacts over the years, the trail has since gone cold and Rines believes that Nessie may be dead, a victim of global warming.

He still wants to check almost 100 contacts on the floor of the loch, believing one may be the monster's remains.
I ran across this tidbit at The Liberal Lie, The Conservative Truth (a well written conservative blog from South Carolina that is worth reading on a regular basis) where the story is summed up as follows:
Yes you read correctly Nessie, the Loch Ness Monster whose existence has NEVER been proven is a VICTIM OF GLOBAL WARMING!!!!!! Two fictitious entities working hand in hand, Nessie and Global Warming.
Ignore the scourge of global warming at your own peril!

On a related note, check out the GlobalClimateScam.com site for responsible perspectives on the subject (HT Jason Lewis).

Nessie? My Nessie? Oh no! This was my favorite monster next to Bigfoot. I suppose Global Warming will get him next.

By the way did anyone do any scientific temperature records at Loch Ness over say the last 30 years? I understand it is mighty cold down in the depths, global warming or not. I suspect Nessie could always chill at will. No half degree Celcius was going to finish him off.
