Help is on the way for the Fourth CD

Although the idiocy exhibited by many of our local and state politicians has grabbed our attention lately it is important to remember that we in the Minnesota Fourth US Congressional District have a chance to dump the arrogant airhead who has long mis-represented us this fall. Our district has unfortunately been controlled by ultra-lefties for so long that a lot of people seem to have just accepted it as a fact of life and have ignored past opportunities to vote in responsible representation.

We are fortunate to have two great conservative candidates, Ed Matthews and John Meyer, informally announce their candidacy to rid our district of Bolshevik Betty this fall.

I have met both of these gentlemen and am convinced that either would bring the top-notch representation that has been sorely lacking for years to the Fourth District and intend to support whoever emerges as the candidate. Both hold strong conservative views and support strong defense, low taxes, and limited government. Matthews is a very accomplished young man with an impressive resume. Meyer is a proud Iraq War veteran with a admirable record of service to our country.

Both are young, energetic, and willing to go after the reclusive Betty McCollum, who in the past has been too arrogant to run much of a visible campaign or debate her opponents in public. She has gotten re-elected almost solely because of the "DFL" that appears after her name on the ballot.

Ed Matthews will hold a press conference tomorrow (March 20) at 9:15 a.m. in Room 181 of the State Office Building (across from the capitol) to formally announce his candidacy.

We will cover the campaigns of both of these deserving candidates as the campaign season progresses.

Hold on, Fourth District! Help is on the way.

Good post, RH. I was impressed with both of these gentlemen at the BPOU. Either would be a highly credible alternative to Betty Rubble. She'll keep hiding because she wouldn't stand a chance if she were actually forced to debate either of the Republican hopefuls. The challenge will be to find a way to smoke her out.
