Representative Kate Knuth to Hold Town Hall Meeting

Representative Knuth has issued a press release announcing a Town Hall Meeting in New Brighton this Saturday [emphasis added]:
State Representative Kate Knuth (50B) invites residents to attend a legislative town meeting on Saturday, March 15 from 10:00AM – 11:00AM at the Freedom Park Neighborhood Center at 2121 14th Street NW in New Brighton.

The meeting will update residents on the progress of the 2008 legislative session. Local residents will hear an overview of issues that remain on the 2008 legislative calendar, and have an opportunity to address questions to Rep. Knuth.

"I'm always eager to meet with my neighbors to hear what is on their minds," said Knuth. " The ideas, suggestions, and comments I receive from constituents helps me do a better job of representing our community."

Knuth is especially interested in gathering input about how the legislature should address the larger-than-expected budget deficit and feedback on the recently passed transportation bill. She also expects to provide an update on the status of the public works or "bonding bill" that is the primary focus of the 2008 session and is expected to create thousands of new jobs.

"We've already had an extraordinarily busy start to the session, but there is still so much left to do – particularly in the area of economic stimulus," said Knuth. " I'm looking forward to input from constituents to help guide me through the remainder of the session."
The "still so much left to do – particularly in the area of economic stimulus" part of Knuth's release, especially given all that she has done for us (actually "to us" is closer to the truth) so far in this session, should be enough motivation to get out and let our uber-genius representative know that she does not represent the interests of 50B. It will also be a good thing for the electorate to see how Knuth defends her indefensible actions in the context of a public forum.

Representative Knuth wants to know "what is on our minds". Apparently she is too clueless to figure it out for herself, so hopefully we will get a good turnout of Conservatives to let her know with abundant clarity.

It will be interesting to see if our youthful representative has "grown" since last year, or if she still brings mommy and daddy to these events to help out if the heat gets too intense.

I can attest to the fact that Knuth the Mother is certainly capable of giving one "the look" when she feels her prodigy is being questioned too rigorously. If looks could kill...

But they can't. So don't be intimidated and feel free to politely ask difficult questions. Then sit back and watch Kate perform her tap dance as learned at the Herman Munster School of DFL Dance.
