Where's Laura Ingraham?

The Salem Radio Network (which includes Twin Cities AM 1280 The Patriot) has apparently dropped or lost Laura Ingraham's radio program. Ingraham is part of the Talk Radio Network. According to their website, Laura's new Twin Cities home will be announced next week. You can also check Laura's web site for updates on new stations

Laura has been suggesting that her show is moving to stronger stations. I wonder if this means a move to FM in the Twin Cities?

In the meantime, you find an audio stream of her show here.

My guess is that Laura Ingraham will end up on KTLK-FM.

I didn't understand why they canned Dan Conry in favor of an obvious place-holder in Langdon Perry, but if this deal was in the works it kind of makes sense. Conry had a good show and I (as well as many others I think) would have preferred keeping him over Chris Baker, but Baker had a longer term contract.

I could be wrong, but I'm thinking Chris Baker gets moved from his current 7 - 11 AM slot to 5-8 where his style is competitive with the shock-jock stuff on other stations and Ingraham gets the 8-11 live as a very nice lead-in to Rush.

Meanwhile at AM-1280 The Patriot, Ingraham has been replaced by Mike Gallhager, a decent and affable guy who does a very credible mainstream Conservative show without too much edge. He should fit in well with the rest of the Patriot line-up of solid but not particularly high-energy Conservative programming.

If Baker is moved to 5-8, then what happens to Jason Lewis?

I'm doubting any changes in the evening, KTLK recently juggled their evening schedule to move Mark Levin from 7 to 11 and Glenn Beck from 10 to 7. I doubt that Beck would be moved again. If Baker stays with the station, he might bump Levin (although I'd prefer to listen to Mark) or get weekend duty.

I guess I wasn't clear: I'm calling Baker moving to the 5 AM slot. Langdon Perry is currently on 5-7 AM and is essentially a show producer who is filling in as a host. Baker does a four hour show from 7-11 AM, which is really long for a talk show. I think it would make sense to split the 5-11 AM period to 3 hours for Baker and 3 hours for Ingraham and send the producer back to the other side of the glass.

I wasn't pleased with the move of Levin (I guess I just don't get Glenn Beck), but he is still entertaining to listen to in the late evening/early morning.

Sorry, I forgot all about that the 5-8 in the blessed AM time slot. And I, too, would prefer Levin to be at his old time slot.
