Celebrate Electricity Hour

We hereby declare 8:30 PM (local time) Saturday, March 28 to be Celebrate Electricity Hour. We have been blessed with the miracle of electricity, with the minds to harness it, and with a multitude of resources to generate it. So, celebrate it.

For one hour, from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM on Saturday, turn on every light and every TV you have in the house. Celebrate the miracle of this wonderful source of power.

At this same local time around the world, global warming alarmists will be celebrating Earth Hour. They will turn off their lights "to make a global statement of concern about climate change and to demonstrate commitment to finding solutions". Then, promptly at 9:30 PM, they will turn the lights back on and feel good about doing absolutely nothing to save the planet.

During this hour, you may want to peek outside to see how many of your neighbors might be enlightened with truth and how many might be ... er ... dim bulbs.

When you celebrate electricity, remember also to celebrate freedom. If Obama and Company are successful in imposing their energy policies (such as Cap and Trade), your utility bill will likely see a 50% spike in price and your personal consumption of energy will be regulated by Congress. Meanwhile, the planet won't be feeling the change. It will stubbornly continue to cycle through cooling and warming periods that strangely follows the fluctuations in radiation from the sun.
