Senator Satveer Chaudhary - Gone and needs to be forgotten ASAP

Barb Goodwin took out Satveer Chaudhary in the primary yesterday. While it is a good thing that District 50 will no longer have to put up with the arrogance and ineptitude of Chaudhary, Goodwin would be just as bad, and possibly even worse, from a policy perspective. She is a hard-core liberal that would bring many of the same goofy liberal ideas and special interest big government baggage to the office. She may not show the sanctimony, arrogance, and ethical problems as the self-serving fishin’ politician, but would nonetheless be a poor senator.

District 50 can do much better. Fortunately we have a great candidate in Gina Bauman. Liberals in general are probably going to go down in large numbers this fall and the DFL and their special interests will be pulling out all of the stops to retain the District 50 seat.

We as Conservatives have a tremendous opportunity to finally get a good and effective senator for District 50, but it won’t be easy. This campaign could certainly get ugly if the DFL chooses to make it that way.

In any case, it’s time for Conservatives to get off of our collective butts and get out and support Gina. Don’t let the left out-hustle us as they have in the past and end up getting their inferior candidate elected largely due to our apathy.

The opportunity is here. We just have to put in the hard work to make it happen.
